The LUCE at Philadelphia Naval Shipyard 2002

Pictured here between the Farragut (right) and the Pratt (left) a shadow of what once was the pride of the post Korean War navy.   If you look closely you can still make out her name. The Luce along with these other remaining 2 will soon be gone.

The USS Luce, DLG-7 (DDG 38) was found by Ron Porter EM2 at the Philadelphia shipyard moored stern-in at the Constitution Ave pier. Pictured here she is fourth from the right between the USS William V Pratt DDG 44(DLG 13) far left and the USS Farragut DDG 37 (DLG 6) center ship. As of March 14, 2000.
